(Cyber) Sorcery is not what modern man can accept as real, and yet a conjuration is being acted out before our very eyes.

Just as Eros was a daemon intermediary between Man and the Gods, we find ourselves positioned between two realities*. Roman Eros, Cupid (desire), decrypts in its Machinic form at the inflection point of the Hypermodern.

*history is never a dialectic, but triadic

Before Second Reailty can be entered into it must first be conjured into being by all the ineffable forces of First Reality. But here there is a double movement and an overlap: whilst Second Reality is being conjured by the Magicians, First Reailty must be deconstructed via alchemical dissolution:

Petro-dollar recycling, fractional reserve banking and fiat currency form a cybernetic dialectical triad that allow for the absolute abstraction of the Capital process and a subsequent decoupling of the productive process from reality into a immaterial mode of production. Capitalism accelerates to the speed of light.

What must be understood is that these conjurations are not a part of Objective Time, but rather are coincident with Human, or Subjective Time, and therefore characterise the sorcery that they employ as a kind of Temporal sorcery in that they seek to fulfill the role of a functionary of History.

In the Phenomenology, Hegel shows us he understands this. At the inflex point, the subject is subsumed with a stream of ‘zauberworte’ and ‘zauberkraft’² which serve to conjure the process whereby one reality is substituted for another. For the Romans it was Christian Empire; For Hegel it was the incoming Continental System. For us it is the birthing of Hyperreality.

This process always involves a sleight of hand, a Magicians trick, in order to lull its subjects into a state of hypnagogic paralysis, and to thereby unthinkably accept the incoming Second Reality.
